This session pairs well with Damien Sweeney’s workshop on the PACE approach and will compliment and extend this area of practice. It is strongly recommended to book onto both workshops to get the most out of the CPD. This workshop requires no prior knowledge.

This session will introduce you to developmental trauma and how these needs may manifest in children and young people. It will cover the neuroscience of connection and regulation to finish with practical strategies for helping children with these needs in schools. This session is ideal for anyone looking to further understand the trauma continuum to empower their relational practice with children.  

Who is this workshop for?

Anyone with a professional interest in attachment and trauma informed work and how relationships can support early life and developmental trauma.

Teaching assistants, Teachers, ELSAs, Sendcos, and Senior Leaders working within any stage of education or cross phases with an interest in supporting inclusion through trauma informed approaches at individual, group and whole school levels. 

Any staff working with care experienced children.
